Moodle 4.5 Updates - 60-minute workshop Online

Please note: This session assumes you are already familiar with Moodle. If you are completely new to Moodle please sign up for Moodle basics for teaching staff workshop or request training via the IT service desk.

This 60-minute session will cover the changes introduced in Moodle 4.5. These include:

Editing your module and adding content

Introduction of subsections
A new text editor
Bulk actions

Appearance and navigation

More compact module look
Single-section view
Improvements to module index
Easy access to favourited modules

Assessment

Changes to the view of grader report and Moodle assignment submission areas.
Simplifying extensions and resubmissions with hidden groups.
Updates to Moodle quiz, including a new question type and grade categories.

Additional support

The Digital Education team will also be running online and in-person drop-ins until the start of the academic year. If you have specific questions about your use of Moodle, please come along and we'll aim to help. Alternatively, raise a ticket via the IT service desk.
