How to write alternative text for Engineering images and diagrams Online
A significant accessibility challenge in the Engineering subject area is the provision of well written alternative text (alt text) for images, diagrams and graphs, in documents and presentations.
This session has been designed for academics in engineering to help understand why alternative text for engineering images is important, how it is used by disabled and neurodivergent students and how to write good alt text, using examples and frameworks.
