Making your module accessible

Making your module accessible Online

Join us and take a significant step towards creating a more accessible learning experience for all your students.

"Making your module accessible" is an online workshop that equips you with the knowledge and tools needed to ensure your Moodle module is accessible to everyone. During this session, you'll discover how to use Ally, a tool integrated into Moodle, to generate accessibility reports for your module and to identify and fix accessibility issues. We'll also show you how to use Microsoft’s built-in accessibility checkers on documents to ensure accessibility compliance and to address common challenges related to the accessibility of PDFs.

Additionally, the session will highlight the importance of providing captions and offer support for correcting captions to adhere to City’s lecture recording policies.

Finally, you'll learn how to support your students by introducing them to various accessibility tools and features, and offering guidance on how to make the most of lecture recordings.

If you cannot attend one of our scheduled sessions, you can request bespoke training via the Digital Accessibility - IT Self-Service Portal.
