LEaDER Journal Club Online
The Journal Club exists to promote discussion of research into pedagogical practices. Each session engages with a different theme and focuses on two articles which speak to that theme.
This month's session will explore visualisation strategies in teaching. It will be led by Dr Clare Tyrer. We will be focussing on the following papers:
- M. Hallewell and N. Lackovic (2018). Do pictures 'tell' a thousand words in lectures? how lecturers vocalise photographs in their presentations.
- V. Rossi. (2023) Inclusive Learning Design in Higher Education – A Practical Guide to Creating Equitable Learning Experiences - Chapter Four: Using Learning Thresholds
As part of the session we'll explore some of the approaches in practice, so please locate a picture connected with assessment in higher education and bring this along to the session.
