Adobe Photoshop- BSc MCS y1 and y3 students ONLY - R201 In-Person

This is an introductory session for beginners introducing you to Adobe Photoshop, during this session you will learn about the Photoshop interface, how to create a new project, use layers to create a graphic that includes images,shapes and text and learn how to export the graphic.  This is an interactive session in a computer lab where Adobe Photoshop is available and you will have time in the session to practice using the software and get in-class support, at the end of the session you will receive details of a LinkedIn learning course that you can complete independently to further enhance your skills.

If the session is full, please still register to add yourself to the waitlist and we will arrange further sessions.

Please note these sessions are for BSc MCS y1 and y3 students ONLY, if you are not in this cohort but would like to attend a session on Adobe Photoshop please email Sumayyah.Islam.2@City.ac.uk, who will add you to a waiting list for a City wide session.

Sumayyah, a Digital Literacies Assistant at LEaD, has been a staff member for over a year and recently graduated in Computer Science from City University. She has been supporting students' digital skills development for the platforms LinkedIn Learning and Moodle through welcome week workshops. On a weekly basis, she signposts students with support on Microsoft Office through the Student Digital Support Community. As a former City University student herself, Sumayyah takes great pleasure in helping fellow students discover the most effective ways to leverage digital tools for enhanced learning experiences.

Lauren is the Digital Literacies Coordinator in LEaD and she has been teaching IT for 15 years.  She has worked in many different education and digital inclusion roles throughout her career and has taught people from ages 7-70.  She enjoys helping people to learn how to get the best out of digital tools and use them more efficiently, to support them with their studies and daily lives.
